　　国　名：墨西哥合众国

　　Official Name: The United Mexican States.

　　国　旗：从左至右由绿、白、红三个垂直长方形组成，中央绘有墨西哥国徽。绿色象征独立和希望，白色象征和平与宗教信仰，红色象征国家的统一。

　　National Flag: The national flag (proportions 7 by 4) has three equal vertical stripes from hoist to fly, of green, white and red, with the state emblem (abrown eagle, holding a snake in its beak, on a green cactus, with a wreath of oak and laurel beneath) in the centre of the white strip.

　　宪　法：１８２４年颁布独立后第一部宪法。现行宪法是墨西哥的第三部宪法，１９１７年颁布以来虽经多次修改但一直沿用至今。宪法规定了立法、行政和司法三权分立的政治体制，其中行政部门的权力大于其他部门。宪法中一些条款还反映了墨西哥社会变革的结果，其中包括限制教会权力、石油工业国有制以及广泛的民事权利。宪法还规定施行义务免费教育制，其责任由联邦、州和市政府分担。

　　Constitution: The present Constitution, Mexico's third, was proclaimed in 1917 and has remained in force since then, although it has been amended several times. Within the central government, powers are divided among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, with executive powers exceeding those of the other branches. The Constitution also contains a number of social and economic provisions reflecting the outcome of the Mexican social revolution- including limits on the power of the church and national ownership of the petroleum industry- as well as extensive civil rights. The Constitution also mandates free education, which is the shared responsibility of the federal, state, and municipal governments.
